ROCKY JO (Film Director/Commercial Editor) has become one of
the fastest rising faces in the film and television industry, having
directed over a dozen-and-a-half works and edited over 60+ projects.
A Los Angeles native helming from the lone star state, his love for creating
highly kinetic and, often times, anime-influenced works have allowed
him to garner a variety of awards and recognitions.
In 2005, he directed the action short film “Bunny & Clydo”, featuring
James Kyson Lee (Heroes), which went on to over 30+ festivals,
garnering half a dozen awards, including Best Short Feature,
Best Editing, and the prestigious Audience Award from the Short

In 2006, Rocky joined The Famous Group, a commercial production
and graphics studio based in Los Angeles, where his edited works
won the coveted Golden Matrix Award in sports production. His
work on Turtle TV also led to a Daytime Emmy.
In 2007, Rocky began directing for The Famous Group, taking on
projects for the NY Jets, the SF 49ers, the ATL Hawks, and Webrides TV.
He also wrapped on the short film “Tokyo Boogie”, featuring
Archie Kao (CSI) and Clayton Watson (The Matrix 2 & 3), as well as
directing the music video, “Ain’t No Sunshine” for R&B group, Tatum Jones.
Now in 2008, he has directed a variety of commercials, opens,
and ads for clients such as Cisco Systems, The Hustler Casino,
the U.S. National Guard, and numerous NFL, NHL, and NBA teams.
He remains the senior editor at Famous when not directing, and
continues to take on personal projects such as “My First Crush”,
as well as pursuing his feature film debut: “The Notorious Bunny & Clydo”.
